I called them and it was as simple as can be. They unlocked all three of my Storms and my Tour. The funny thing was, I only have two lines, so the lady waited while I activated the other two storms so she could generate a code lol.

Well, now I guess I have two unlocked Storms I can sell lol.

The only thing unlocking does is unlock the sim slot so you can use it on other GSM carriers.

Or more precisely, it lets you use a SIM card from another provider, so that the phone is using a number and account on that provider rather than using the one on the SIM the phone came with. You can roam on other providers with any given SIM card; exactly which ones you can roam on and what you will be billed for the service depends on the agreement that comes with that SIM. SIM stands for Subscriber Identity Module.
