SMS Notification indicator not working :(

I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything like this....I was upgraded to .113 last week and everything was going ok, but starting this morning when I receive a SMS message the red indicator doesn't pop up when my phone is in portrait mode, but when I turn it to landscape it is there. What do I do to fix this? I've tried doing a battery pull and it still hasn't fixed it.

if anything, downgrade to the os you were using before. This seems to be a software bug if it was working on your phone earlier.

Ugh and now it's not just sms but email too!

i've had this problem for a while, i still get the message indicator but not sms or email

this is very annoying! Sometimes my email notification doesn't pop up correctly either... anybody know a fix yet?

Check if you are in bedside mode because if done that before.. Its under the clock

yeah no, definitly not haha, I've tried many batt pulls so that would have taken that off anyways. I've tried resetting the message/sms databases through desktop manager also, and that didn't work. I also upgraded to .141... still same problem. The red star will appear even though there is no text, and yes I have gone through manyyyyy times trying to find ANY unread messages and no there aren't any... Why me ugh.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I have done nothing to my storm except add a theme, i;ve yanked the battery reseted.. still the same thing i did notice the icon will show up in landscape mode (sometimes) if you make any headway.. keep me posted... ive searched and searched as well

I am having the same problem with my BB curve 8310. All notifiers were working for SMS & Email but I changed the theme and now they do not work. Went to Profiles, Advanced, and when I try to edit SMS and/or email it will not open and let me do anything. It is as though that total section is frozen/locked somehow.

On another theme, all of this was working BUT the phone option. Thank goodness there is another way to get a ringtone or else I would really be upset.

I setup my personal email address to my phone. On the phone there is a "Messages" folder and my "email" folder. Initially, when I set this up, the little red star would appear when I would receive an email to my email folder and to the messages folder. However, for some reason now the little red star does not appear on my email folder anymore but does appear on my messages folder? The actual emails still appear in the folders, but the indicator is not working on my email folder, so I don't know if there is a message there or not? Please help. Verizon knows nothing.
