SMS Messages Won't Open

Has anyone noticed if a SMS conversation goes on too long that at some point you can't open it from the main SMS message screen. Only way is to delete it and move on. I've upgraded to 5.0 on my Storm recently and this only started happening after the update.

You have to do a batt pull or create a new sms to that person to open it.

I have the same problem. However, it only happens with ONE of my contacts. In addition to this, when I compose a new one to that person, normally whatever she had just texted to me shows up as a blank bubble, but at the sms screen you can read the beginning of whatever was sent.

Quite annoying..

It is quite annoying. I was wondering if I was the only one, seems like I'm not alone on this. Hopefully Verizon is working on a fix.

this is so annoying...

it happens to me like daily but instead of pulling the battery (like i used to) i figured out an easy way to get around it is to compose a new sms to the contact whose sms wont open for u and it opens up the problem sms thread.

Same deal, Id i have a txt going an flip to the next one, a new text will come in from the person I was just texting, and it wont open, All I do is compose new text, enter there name, hit ok, and the conversation comes back... Very annoying...

I have the same issue, (along with a dozen more issues with this phone). I suggest ditching it and getting a different model BB or an android. My latest issue is not being able to answer a call because the storm is busy.

I have the same problem only with almost every contact. It will eventually leave off and let me open the conversation but routinely does it halfway through a conversation so that I am interrupted mid-discussion. Before I did the last software upgrade I could work around by starting a new SMS with that person and it would open but since the last revision to the software the only way to open the conversation is to pull the battery. It is amazingly annoying and I really hope somebody figures out a fix for this in the next software update. I have been a die-hard Blackberry fan for years but this makes me want to get a ‘droid.

Got a Curve 8530
This is what is happening to me right now.... just one contact and composes new sms brings up a blank message with her.

Please save me. I just upgraded to 5.0, one of my email folders are hidden now too. I can see it if I change my theme, but I might just downgrade if no one has a fix for either of these
