    Why can you only type 160 characters on SMS text? Is there n e settings to increase this?

    The SMS standard limits message length to 160 characters, it is not a limitation of the phone.

    If you send as an MMS instead you can type a lot more. Just make sure whoever you're sending it to doesn't mind/has an appropriate plan.
