Default sim card error

Hello,

I have a 9500 and have been using it fine on vodafone. I stopped using the phone for a couple of weeks while i went abroad. I have now come back inserted my sim card in the phone and it says 'SIM CARD ERROR DO YOU WANT TO ENTER A UNLOCK CODE'.

I cannot undertsand why it is saying this as the phone is vodafone and the sim card is vodafone and it was working fine a few weeks ago. I have checked to make sure that vodafone are the operator on the phone and they are.

i purchased an unlock code thinking that might help but when i get the meassage up and i press yes, nothing happens !!

can anybody help please

thanks
neil

Are you sure you have the correct sim card in the phone? Did you use your vodafone sim card in Europe or purchase a different card for use while there?

Thanks for the reply.

Most definitely using the correrct sim card. I only took the sim card out while i was on holiday so one of my kids didnt use my phone when i got back and put the same sim card back in, it comes up with that sim card message. I have also tried 2 other vodafone sim cards with the same message coming up.

The phone is a vodafone phone and all the sim cards i have tried in it are vodafone. I once tried a T-mobile card but that was the same.

any help appreciated as its a perfectly good phone that i cannot use.

thanks
neil
