I have a storm that someone tried to enter wrong sim unlock code more then 10 times. Now phone does not read any sim card. Sim will work in other phone.
what happens after the 10 tries does phone lock sim disabled. Phone still works for calls and everything else. Is there a unlock needed for this, VZW says it is permanently locked

I am not an expert, but I have only heard the same thing..Once you pass 10 incorrect attempts its locked for good.
