My friend just bought a Telus CDMA storm and gave it to me to upgrade the OS for him. I can select GSM in the network options, and it also has a sim card slot. It gives me the option to use either 2g or 3g, also connects to the Rogers tower, just needs a SIM card (I might put myn in see what happens...). This all normal?
yes, you may have to unlock it from Telus to use your SIM if from another carrier. You can also switch to 2G only and 3G only, if you switch to 3G and get no signal then it does not have the freq to get 3G from that carrier.
