Default Should the Storm2 have wireless N?

I think it would be a very smart move on rims part to include not only wifi but include the latest standard.

It would put it well above the Iphone as far as a wifi enable device. Longer range and data speeds.

The problem is going to be battery life. It sucks now without WIFI, can't imagine the current setup with WIFI. Would probably only last 1/2 hour.

good idea, but we are still sort of theorizing what the phone "might" have, since there are no spec sheets or anything legit indicating the phone does/doesn't have this or that

i agree but it would just make the storm more future proofable until another device comes out

The issues above are good against doing it, as well as size and weight.......including the "latest standard" is a little out of reach anyway....have you ever seen a,b, or g in a phone? not saying hasnt happened...just saying i havent seen it. also, if you are at a place with an N router, why not just use a laptop or that desktop? I dont want to here the im by the pool and want to surf the net on my 4 inch screen excuse either

some coffee shops are implementing wireless N service. and the university of akron is all wireless N now. as i think most colleges are also doing. while i know the N standard is backwards compatible with a, b, and g the extra distance and speed is something i personally wouldn't mind having.

That would be a seriously huge jump in battery technology

But your wifi connects to the Router so the distance isnt an issue.....the speed would be nice....but i dont think it can process data and get it on the sceen a whole lot faster anyway right now lol

the university of akron has wireless n access points all over campus i live only a couple blocks from the university and i can still get a signal to their network. thats the kind of distance im talking about. it's true roaming wifi.

think about this what if you work in a hospital and you need service cant use the cell service but they use wifi all over the hospital to get pertinent info to do your job

well N would be nice but BT3.0 and allowing to you route through your computer would be heaven.

I had an IPHONE 3G (see sig) and ill tell you the battery on wifi was NOTHING...so asking it to do more than wifi with something like N would be very taxing on the battery

On another note i seen a Navy Scientist may have rediscovered cold-fusion...not that could be some battery life for sure

wifi connects to N but only in a, b, or g if N is not implement on the device

what im saying is having N would allow you to connect to all networks.

some places are N only, G only, and so on. my router allows me to set my network so that only N devices can connect to it.
