Default Should I buy the storm ?

I played with the phone once and I absolutly love it !!!!

Someone sugested that I should ship this from the US to my country and I did via a good friend....
It arrives in four days.

My aunt just called me five minutes ago when she found out that I'm buying the storm and she was like don't buy it, it has mayor issues !! She said a lot of her friends bought one and had problems with their display. I have heard it before that the storm was known for some problems, but I thought it was software problems !!

Can please all the storm users please give me advise, I don't want to do something I will regret. And I really don't want to recieve a "I told you so" by my aunt if I buy the storm and it appears it has problems.

I really want the storm cause it's very similar to the iphone and I don't want to go apple cause I'm addicted to blackberry.

And I'm buying the 9530.

Please advise !!

Some folks had bad luck, others really loved their Storms. You probably would've been better off with a Storm 2, mainly having the extra memory and Wi-fi capability, but if you get a good one, no reason you can't enjoy it.

So basicly you are telling me that I should have luck to get a good storm ?

If that is the case, I'm doomed !! Cause I have been having the most terrible luck the last couple of weeks.

As said above, a Storm 2 would've been a better buy.
I personally enjoyed my 9530 in the short time I actually had it.
Just take care of it, don't overload it with a bunch of running programs and keep the screen clean.
I would search around the Storm forums and find the most stable Storm OS so far.

Have fun with your new device.

Not necessarily. 'Luck' can be a transient thing. But if you happen to get a problematic device, you have learned not one but two valuable lessons.
1. Investigate your planned purchase before you open your wallet.

2. Ask the folks at CrackBerry before you commit to a BlackBerry.

It is too late to worry about it. Make sure the 9530 is unlocked so you can use the SIM card for your carrier and try it. Be sure you have a data plan with your carrier so you can maximize the phones available functions.

I am currently still using an original issue 9530 and not having any problems with it. If you do have some difficulty, post here on Crackberry and someone will try to assist you with resolving the issue.

lol oky. Well I'm getting the storm tomorrow !! No turning back, i'm very much excited !!

I already bought a screen protector and I'm going to buy the ottorbox case. I'm going to download the OS 1041 since it looks like the best. If I have a problem with the phone I will keep you guys updated. Thanks for the comments

I have had good luck with 1041, so hopefully your usage will also work well with that OS.

I agree with the things that been said here.

Keep it updated, read information here on crackberry about using it right, don't overload, it's good that you have a screen protector.
Also, make sure it's unlocked so it can be used with GSM carriers.

Most likely you will enjoy it if you love it. it's a nice blackberry after all.

Since I installed "Battery Saver" app, This storm Battery last virtually forever.
With lots of talking and normal surfing after 12 hr, It uses only 50%...

Before installing "Battry Saver" app, Phone battery lasts for only 6 hrs...If I remember correctly....

I am sure that you will like Storm.
