    anyone know if you can set a contact as a icon on the homescreen like you can do with a bbm 5.0 contact.. like a quick speed dial.

    You can use quicklaunch to set up something like this. Icon brings up a list of custom shortcuts to any contact or program

    no holding the letter down on the V-keyboard doesnt do anything. just brings up the corresponding number on the phone app.
