All Blackberry's already support that feature. Go into your address book, highlight the vCard you want to send, click the Menu and choose "Send As Attachment"

EDIT: or you can just click Menu when composing an email and select "Attach Address"

You are right, it works via email. 2y with 8800 and I couldn't figure that one out. But still will be nice if you can just simply send it attached to text message. Not everybody are using email on their cell phones.

i don't recall being able to send contact records via cell phones when we were toting the ones in the picture...

My first NOKIA 2110 in 1997 had option to send contact info via sms.

I guess back then I never paid attention =) although SMS really wasn't all that popular either here in the states anyway
