I'm getting pretty fed up with the slowness of the screen rotation and the the unresponsiveness of the answer/pickup buttons when someone rings me.
90% of the time when I put my phone out of my pocket of off the front seat while it's ringing - I must initially hold it funny as the screen rotation is in landscape mode. But as I lift the phone up to press either the on screen answer button or the hard green answer button - the phone tries to go back to portrait mode.
This would be fine if the buttons work - but no buttons are responsive while this rotation is taking place and it seems like its all too much for the phone to do as it takes about 10 seconds for it to respond which often means the phone call's gone to voicemail as it takes a good 5 seconds before the phone actually rings, then another 2-3 for me to pick up the phone....
Maybe its because I have an mp3 as a ring tone? Maybe that's overloading the phones resources while ringing so it cant do the ring, vibrate and rotation at once?
Mine does the same thing, and i am using a default ringer, set to always vibrate ( i hate the sound of ringtones) the only modification to mine is im running a very lightweight custom theme.
I'm on 148 (I have a 9530) and I don't have this problem. Maybe you are having a hardware issue? Also you might want to try a JLCmdr wipe and reinstall.
I just did a little test with the application StopTilt and I found out that because i have my homescreen locked, the phone will not change orientation while a call is being recieved. The same may also apply with the free application Orientation Lock. You can give it a try if you like. I love this application its very great. And now that I realized that it locks incoming calls its even better! Try it out
I'm on the OOAKPC hybrid (but v8 rather than v91)... the rotation is still slow, but when i press the hard answer key, it picks up no matter what the screen is showing. Sometimes there is a half second or 1 second delay before the mic kicks in and i can talk, but the delay is so minimal that I don't notice it most of the times
