i just got the storm and the screen is off center. when i turn it to either side nothing is lined up correctly and the buttons arent touching the right spots.

anyone know a quick fix?

Yeah it still should be under warranty take it back and get a different one

I had the same exact problem. 4 days out of the box. No drops or anything. Took it back and got a new one. Would advise the same.

This happened to me once! I did a battery pull and deleted the latest 3rd party app that I had put on the phone and haven't had a problem since. It seriously freaked me out when it happened though.
