Go to add/remove programs and select it. It should then ask if you want to delete it or modify it. Select modify, and then one of the options it will eventually present is a check box to have it start when the computer starts. Be sure this box is not checked and will not automatically start, but rather will only start when you decide you want it and click on the icon.
