Had to ask because its driving me crazy. When exiting Messages and SMS, can you just press Escape, or do you have to go and close it. Reason I'm asking is because when you reboot
the phone, Messages is one of the programs that is shown when BB button is held. So when exiting, to conserve memory, does pressing escape suffice? Or do you need to click close. Sorry for.

I'm pretty sure that the Message thing is one that is always open, even if you hit the escape key or end call key, even menu-close/exit. Just like the browser, BB messenger, etc are always up...
lol... i was typing this on my phone, and it accidentally posted without me finishing, lol. end should have said "sorry for the scatter brain, long day at work," ... but thanks dixiehuntr, idk why but that was just irritating me.
