Provider cannot recognize BB - no internet
a great forum i must say, i learned alot about BB, but after so much reading I still can't resolve my issue.
So i bought a BB Storm 9530, second hand, the guy had it from Verizon and I'm using the device in Bulgaria. The problem is although I have BB plan and all, when i try to get the settings for the browser (from Options->Advanced Options->Host ... ) the phone sends the message but nothing happens. My provider says that because the phone is bought from Verizon that option is locked and they cannot recognize my device to send me the settings needed. Their BB site (as far as i understood you guys call that BIS web site) cannot recognize the imei and pin. I tried to use service book for at&t and some options changed (new stuff came up) but no internet connection whatsoever. I found service book that should work for all providers, no luck. So any sujestions?
BTW when i connect the phone to my PC I am able to use the phones internet ot my PC, but not on the phone itself.
PS: Sorry for any spell mistakes and such. My english is not so good.
sorry guys after last service book intervention it was all fine i just had to get the right tcp and apn settings from the provider(simple call). here is the service book, then you have to follow the steps from this thread http://forums.crackberry.com/forum-f...m-95xx-107154/ but use this file instad of ATT_Service_Books.zip (if you're not AT&T user ofcourse).
