I have a client with a new Storm who asked me a question I have no clue about.

He wants to set his Storm so that when a new email comes it, it doesn't open automatically (mine does the same thing). If we get an email notification, then pull it out of the holster, the last email received automatically opens up. Is there a way to prevent this??

He's a lawyer, and receives confidential info via email very often (yes, I know it's not secure, but he's a lawyer, they can't be taught.... He wants to make sure it doesn't auto open in case someone else can see it.

    Any ideas?

There's a very simple solution. Just wait 15 seconds after the message alert to pull the BlackBerry out of the holster. If you pull it out sooner than that, the BlackBerry assumes you want to read it and helpfully opens it for you. Wait longer than 15 seconds, and it won't open the message.

There is no way to disable this automatic behavior.

Hey RIM... Please add an auto open timer as described above, with 'Off' as an available option as well
