I have a Verizon Blackberry Storm 9530. It just crashed and loads then shows 'appl error 552'. When I try to press all buttons including the screen it shows quickly 'reset screen' then restarts. Now it has given me 'JVM error 552' message stuck on it. How can I fix it?

Is there a chance to recover any data in the process?

That error usually requires an os reload. Unless you have a recent backup, you'll likely loose the current data. Sorry.

You can try placing the device into safemode:

Then try backing up and then perform a reflash.
