You can't save pdfs and view them with the standard edition of D2G, you need the premium edition with pdf to go for that. If you have the BB Attachment Service installed, you should be able to view the pdf straight from the email by clicking open.

I installed the BB Attachment service and STILL can't view pdf's from emails.

If you have the Attachment Service installed, you should be able to open the pdf attachment directly from the email you recieved. If you save the attachment to your device (anywhere... card, memory, doesn't matter), you will not be able to open it unless you have Docs to go PRO/Premium.
gotta find me the attachment service to give it a shot!
I know that the storm can open pdf's with docs to go STANDARD because my coworker just got one and his opened a pdf.
i did reinstall docs to go, but it only gave me icons for doc, excel, and pwrpoint
Docs to go standard is NOT capable of opening PDF's. Your friend must have BB Attachment Service installed. You can install it through Desktop Manager.

He also could have activated the Docs2Go Premium trial mode.

I can njot open pdf's directly from e-mails even with the BB Attachment Service installed through DM. I have tried a bettery pull and that did not help.
What else could be preventing pdf's from opeing directly from e-mails? What does the Storm use to open pdf's directly from e-mail?
