On my storm it is telling me that I have one email or messege that I have read but not deleted. I have emptyed all of my messege boxes and still it is up there at the top of the phone. Would any one know why or had this problem?

do a battery pull. see if that clears it.

i have heard try sending yourself a txt or an email, read it and delete it. Also try bat pull.

i would try a battey pull but first check all messages even blackberry messager and everything and if you don't find it battery pull restart and it should be gone hopes this work

also when I highlight the messages folder it says (1) messages. But when I open it up, there is nothing.

I went through all my folders deleted it all and did a battery pull seems fine for now. Thank You all, it is great to have a community that will help so quickly.

One thing you can try.

If you have a message that wont delete no matter what you do try this.

1. Plug BB into pc
2. Open Desktop Manager
3. Click Backup and Restore
4. Click the Advanced Tab
5. On the right hand side you will see Device Databases, find Browser Messages, Messages, MMS Messages, PIN Messages, Saved Email Messages and SMS Messages. Hold the control key on your keyboard and left click each one of these that you want to be cleared. The press clear and then press yes to continue.



Another thing you can do it use the Search feature and search for all unread messages in your phone.

I had a message I couldn't find and it turned out to be an sms message. I never get sms messages (I even have the sms icon hidden away) which is why I never even considered it could be one of those until I dug around a bit and found it.
