my phone turned off at some point when i was sleeping last night
im not sure if it ran out of batteries or not
i now have it plugged in via usb
the red light is on (not blinking)
however, i CANNOT turn my phone on
ive tried battery pulls when it was/was not plugged in
any ideas? thanks in advance...

plug it into a wall charger and wait 15 minutes.

I would say plug in travel charger and let sit for about 15 minutes. Then a battery pull

Have you tried pressing the power on button... :P

the 15 minute wall charge worked...
however, the signal icon at the top-right corner of the screen now says "OFF"
is this because it is still charging? should i do a battery pull?

When the battery goes completely dead the device shuts down this has happened to me also after about twenty minutes I turned the radio back on and it worked alright. I believe it has something to do with protecting your data. In order to have the device store the information it needs a little bit of power to keep the flash rom active. Correct me if I'm wrong tho I don't want to start throwing bad info
