i like the phone! the screen is amazing, the speakers are loud! the phone looks good but... it does take a while to get used to this whole touch/click... it is for sure no javelin/curve typing but i mean i can see myself getting used to it soon...

ok lol "status" im stupid hahaha... it says under status and file fre: 35445516 bytes
Man, that's kinda low. What's total listed as?
Also, see if when you're in QWERTY mode if it'll let you do CTL+SHIFT+H to pull up the same screen. Also check CTL+(R)SHIFT+DEL to reboot it. I'm really interested in these two things.

How big do you estimate programs on the appstore will be though? Also, if you fill up the device with downloaded apps, will it slow the device down? I wish you could download apps on the 1gb internal memory.
Crucial, no offense, but 35 is not a lot. With the browser cache being localized on the limited 128MB, unless the browser flushes the cache quickly on its own, it'll be real easy to fill up that amount of memory when browsing, especially if the browser is set to High resolution pictures and you browse sites that have a lot of data on the screen. If RIM didn't set a "cache size" limitation value in the browser, I'll kill 35MB in no time during one browsing session if I tried. I did so with a Curve when I tried one. Imagine how much I have to clear the cache on my 8830. Ya, anoying!
This issue here is the only one that actually worries me. JRSC I remember discussing the whole screen gap and screen discoloration with you but I never agreed with you. This time I might haha. I hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as we think to get around this.
Man, all this time I was thinking that the Storm's 1 GB of internal memory would serve as storage for apps and other system data. Now I find out that system storage is limited to a crumby 128 MB? If that's true, that is mind-boglingly crazy! One of the things I was looking forward to was not having to worry about filling up my system memory and slowing down my phone (like on my 8830). I guess I was wrong about that. It's not a deal breaker for me, but somewhat disappointing.
