Hey i am new to crackberry forums

I've had my storm since way back in early 2009
and i've been on android bandwagon since the eris and droid came out

Well...ive had it with my eris and the issues with it
and i decided to come back to my storm

for the most part, for now it seems decent...no MAJOR ISSUES

however i see i am on
firmware version 4.7.1 something something something

and i was told my storm and the storm 2 were on the new 5.0 firmware.

I called verizon they cant help me...the rep i spoke to was stupid
and then i tried to download something from blackberry website and it failed or something

so i came here

1)Where can i find the latest firmware
2)What features does it have
3)Besides where I can find it, how do i do it?

If you plug the phone into your Desktop Manager, you should get a prompt to update to the 5.0.0.328 OS (last Verizon official for Storm 1). If you would like higher than that, check the Storm OS subforum, which will give you directions how to update to a non-official OS.

The latest firmware is 4.2.0.275, so your fine.
The latest official OS from Verizon is 5.0.0.607

If you don't have this you can upgrade from your phone Options>Advanced Options>Wireless Update or from DM or Verizons site.
