New Video Of Updated Storm on OS 4.7.0.75

Does the update speed up the camera any? The lag on the camera is incredible, and really negates trying to take photos.

thank god! I get my phone tomorrow, this excites me!! The accelerometer was the one thing that I didn't like from my playtime at the Verizon store, and the slight lag. So my gripes are fixed, I knew they could do it. Nobody played with this phone at RIM as is when it shipped and thought "it's perfect"

I receive my phone tomorrow and this video deffinately puts me at ease. After reading the horrible reviews that it has received virtually on every web blog out there I thought I made a huge mistake in ordering it. I knew I was taking a chance in the first place because of the early reviews the day before it was released and that is why I ordered it over the phone with Verizon and did not buy it at Best Buy when it was in my hand at 10am the friday of the release (it was hard to let it go). I figured they would release the software upgrade fast and fix most of the problems and it appears that has happened. The issue with this phone is at least just mostly software related where as with the first iphone the call quality was sh** and it had software issues, this fact seems to have been forgotten.

I was pissed at first because the phone was slow. I just got the update and wow....its much faster. Im in love. NOW I JUST WISH IPHONE BIAS WEBSITES LIKE CNET AND ENGADGET WOULD REDO THEIR REVIEWS

I LOOOOOOOVE the new OS. Thank goodness. I was starting to get really annoyed with the lag. Ive been waiting for this phone since July and it's my first blackberry. Im glad it didnt make me want to not buy blackberry's in the future.

I have been looking everywhere online to get the .75 update but its not available anywhere. I sat on Hold with Verizon over the phone for 20 minutes and she said you have to go into the store to get the update.
Is that true?!?

Why don't you look in the Sticky labeled 'OS 4.7.0.75 Leak' maybe you will find it there.

Ok, I did it... was pretty straight forward as all other updates have been. I agree that the accelerometer is much faster... I wasn't able to move through the icons as easily as the video showed though... Gonna try hiding the less used icons and see if that works for me.

i did the update, but i have to say...i'm not impressed. switching from landscape to portrait and vice versa is still horribly slow. It may be slightly faster, but if it is, it's still way too slow.

i uninstalled several apps (bb maps, bb messenger, vz nav, help, aim) but it's still very slow.

any ideas?

i noticed that when i click my screen to turn it on and immediately start turning back and forth there is a wicked lag.
but after a few times of doing this it is nearly instant...so it
seems to warm up after a few seconds. weird
the apps don't factor in for me, they are still installed except for vznav
