    I need HELP! I recently switched out my storm for a newer one with Verizon. And now it won't connect to my computer for more than a few seconds. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the desktop manager software and the media sync won't work. I feel like I tried everything with no success. Someone please help!

    Also try using a different USB port on your PC.

    When you uninstalled DM, did you make sure to uninstall any/all BB software as well? OS's, VZAM, etc.; if it is a driver problem, all of those will affect the proper registry resets. Make sure you reboot your PC after the uninstall and the install to commit the registry changes, too. And give a good old fashioned battery pull a whirl.

    chola, it may be a mass storage issue.

    Forget DM for a moment. Is Mass Storage enabled and if so, does your computer recognize (e.g. dedicated drives in Windows Explorer) the phone when it's plugged in via usb.
