I did my DM update yesterday afternoon (to 4.7.0.32). This morning there is a message on my BB and my inbox:
    From
    RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2
    The message reads as follows:
"This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

    BEGINETP 9
    Bf///38AAAAA
    ENDETP 1638716747"

There is an attachment called EP.dat(110B)

What is this? How long do I leave it on my BB? Is it related to the DM update? I use BIS and am on OS v.113

    Thanks in advance

Harmless, yet annoying message. Most often found if you have Desktop Redirector set up. You can leave it on your device, and it will process itself and likely go away over time, or you can uninstall desktop Redirector, if you don't use it, and you won't get these any more.

You did the wrong setup for Desktop Manager. You should have picked Internet and NOT Enterprise when you got to the email integration options screen. You'll need to uninstall DM and reinstall and then on your BB go to Service Books and delete anything that has [Desktop] in the name.
