I tried charging my S1 last night. I plugged it in and it went into bedside mode. I wake up this morning to see that it hasnt charged any. I plugged it into my computer and it also detected the USB and I could see all the songs on my phone. The storm detects that its plugged in but wont charge. The battery works because it hasnt died. I took it to verizon and I had to call the insurance company and they want a $50 deductible. I want to know if anyone knows whats wrong before I give that company money that they dont need.

Try doing a battery pull while plugged in to the wall charger.

Below is a link to a post where people talk about a bad charger and how to test it. A few other things I have seen over time are:

1 Take the phone out of Night time mode if it goes to that while charging

2 Press the back key numerous times while plugged in and see if the battery starts charging.

I took the phone to Verizon and they even tried their chargers and nothing. I tried the other two suggestions also and still nothing. I have no idea why it's not working. I did the security swipe and nothing.
