I have a blackberry storm but don't have the navigation plan from verizon. From this i know that i don't have unlimited used of the vz namigator app, but what about the maps application. Is that exempt from the navigation plan or does using it mean charging extra as if i were using the vz navigator app?

BB Maps is a free application and is unlocked to the on board GPS, it is completely free.

How does one launch BB Maps? I have Google Maps, but I'm reading thay BB Maps is more popular

Google Maps currently can't access the GPS. So by default, BB maps is more popular. To run the application find the icon that says "Maps" and has a picture of a compass above it.

look in you application folder and launch from there. If you like you can move it to the home screen folder.
