i got the desktop manager 5.0 but i cant get my cpu
to detect my bb thru a usb cable. it just starts charging...

I had this issue after I loaded up an os, I wiped the device and reloaded. Back to normal now.

Try downgrading to DM 4.7 and see if it reads it...

But the easiest way to do it is to treat it like a nuked berry

Your Os is fine but the PC just won't read the device correctly so this will do a forced load of the drivers again and it's fixed.
