Is my Storm fried?

The LED flashes Red once, the screen is black and the white hour glass comes on for about 10 seconds. After this the phone automatically shuts off and starts doing the samething over and over again until the battery dies.

When I connect the phone to the Desktop Manager the PIN does not show up. I follow the menus and make it all the way to the "Application Loader" and get the following message: "unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation."

Basically the phone never powers past the white colored time clock.

Does anybody have any advice?
