My Storm 9530 is dead, need help please.

I have a BlackBerry 9530 which I haven't been using often since I got a 9550. Since I'm lazy, I do have a lot of stuff on my 9530 memory that I haven't transfered to the 9550 and I used it occasionally to grab some info or use it as an actual phone with another GSM chip.

So... I tried to power it on about a week ago and the red led would flash but nothing, I had to leave it charging for about 2 hours, remove the battery and put it back in so the device would turn on.

I plugged the AC adapter to charge the BlackBerry and the red led kept flashing like if I had a new message or something but nothing! I decided to turn off the device and the red led would still blink in standby mode. When I checked again after a few hours, the BlackBerry was completely dead. No red led, no lights, no boot nothing.

Tried pulling the battery out for a whole day and nothing, when I plug it to the computer nothing happens. I have tried swapping the battery from my 9550 and still no results.

Is it a lost cause?

Hmmm, you did some good troubleshooting. I don't really know what I to do. It is probably gone...

...but If you take out the battery and plug it into the wall, does the red led light stay on? Try taking the SIM card and SD card out and putting them back in. Maybe the red power button is broken...I don't know..

After spending a lot of time trying to bring it back to life I give up. It's completely dead, the battery and charger are in good shape when used with my 9550.

I would be happy to see the red led coming on again but I guess it's really dead. Good bye 9530, RIP 2009-2011.
