I had my device model saved as the Storm 9530 since I create my account when I joined and now it has diappeared and my device model has been changed to the Storm 9500, whats going on ?

You mean like change it ?
Cause I tried and the Storm 9530 isnt even listed anymore. When I go to the store is listed but when I log into my account it says:
Device Model: 9500 (storm) [change]
PIN: ******** [change]
And when I hit change its not listed in the list given.

Mine was also changed to Storm 9500 with the 9530 no longer available in the drop down menu.

Weird. I just checked it out and the 9530 is only gone from the App Store, not the regular store.

Yes they are interchangeable for the most part so there is no need for 9530/9500 really. There might be a few that wont work for both.

It should read 95XX really, that would help with the confusion seen in this thread

Like I said when you go into the store the storm 9530 is in the list, but when I log into my account and click change device model the storm 9530 is not in the list, no user error here

I know but if I want to buy an app and thats basically what I use it for doesnt it matter that I have the 9500 listed when my model is the 9530 ?

no it doesnt matter if its listed as a 9500 or 9530, all app listings are now just under the 9500
