definately easy, disassemble, sand chrome off with 220 grit sanding sponge, then sand with 400 grit paper and paint buttons with black nail polish ! and done
and i have no warrenty cause it is a vodafone 9500 and i got it from second sales internet store
awesome sinister looking storm there, wish i mine could look like that but when i tried putting the the black bezel on i saw way too many small things to not mess with

Do you mean you painted the Bezel (not the buttons). It looks pretty sick!!
i removed them they just pop off the pins on the inner case, and bezel is real smooth can't tell it was sanded, thats what the 400 grit was for to knock out all the the scratch "marks"
I am really bad about noticing things, and did not notice the chrome was gone, and I thought the pictures were going to show you slowly pushing it off the edge and have it crash and explode on the ground below. Thanks for not doing that.

Nice, this sounds really interested. Maybe I'll have to do this.....if I can figure out how to remove the Bezel
i didnt remove the bottom buttons, and was super careful about taking off the lock/mute button, because there is a ribbon cable that is beneath it and if torn the lock will not work anymore
looks similar to one of the storms i changed the bezel on to give it a blacked out look. instead of sanding and painting i bought a black bezel off ebay and replaced the stock one.
i agree swapping bezels is not for the faint of heart. not very hard to do and it doesn't take any special tools, but there are several wires, connections, and even the buttons that have to be carefully moved over. not to mention transferring the pieces of 'cushion' where the screen meets the case...
I thought this thread was about a Storm that died. Poor choice of words for the title.

Ditto.
The first thing I thought of when I read the title was that you took a hammer or knife to the storm! After seeing the first pic, I then thought you were throwing it off the ledge.
