Im buying you a calander for Christmas.For those of us who were single digit numbers in long lines on "launch day" and were disappointed to find out that they had sold out their �tiny� supply of six and then were promised overnight delivery for Saturday and didn�t get it (surprise, surprise, surprise) and have since been promised Monday (today) delivery, let�s see what happens. I order mine @ 1am on friday thru online, still no tracking#, called a few times and they said it will be delivered no later than 12/15 they had given me a bunch of excused like:
1) your order has not been processed
2) I dont see your order processed
3)your order has been processed but dont have anymore info.
4) THE REALLY GOOD ONE:
your order did not go thru because you are not eligable for an upgrade. WTF I paid FULL RETAIL PRICE. and im not eligable for a phone.
just realized that no matter how many times I call it won't make a difference?. any suggestions, should I keep calling. thanks and im happy for those who got theirs. enjoy it.Last edited by darkreign; 11-25-08 at 06:50 PM.

I ordered 11/21 at 4:30am EST (well before the supposed 2pm deadline for shipment this week) and my equipment receipt reads 11/24 at 11:40pm. I got an e-mail yesterday saying my order has been shipped, and I would receive it in 2-3 business days. I just received another e-mail about 5 minutes ago saying my order has been processed (wtf?) and it would be shipped no later than 12/8. it boggles my mind with the range of information that is being given by VZW. you call 5 times, you get 5 different answers.. and there are people who ordered there phones as late as monday already having tracking numbers, and people who pre-ordered theirs dont have squat.. and I read on post where a guy saw online the order as still in process, but he got his phone..... this is the first time ive had any issues with vzw, and i might think long and hard about this in 2 years when my contract comes up... i might switch to another carrier..Last edited by saxxappeal; 11-25-08 at 09:22 PM. Has anybody heard of a "Raffle" being held to let people in front of line last friday? They said it would be "first come first serve" but at around 6:45 am a rep showed up and started escorting people to a separate line. When I asked they said that they had a raffle with the people who submitted their info. Now I NEVER heard of that! This is in the SF Valley (LA).
I was about the 15th person in line and when I about 5 of us finally got into the store at about 7:30 they said they ran out. (They ran out on the 14th person plus the 10-11 people who "won the raffle")
I was told that I would receive the phone THE NEXT MORNING, but we all know that they were never intending on that happening.

Why would you switch to a different carrier over this? Verizon has reliable coverage with usually good customer service. They've never released a phone with this much hype. Been lurking for a while, just signed up. I ordered my storm friday night around 6pm and was told it would ship on December 5th. Strange thing is i received email confirmation just now that it is shipping and I will have it the 28th!!! Gonna try it out...if its not what i expect will go with the Bold. We will have to wait and see

I ordered mine on the 21st. It was sometime after I tried to order online (before noon - no luck getting pages online), then decided to go over to a store in Brooklyn Heights, BKLYN, looked at the line at the store, and went back to my computer around 10pm or so. Got through then, and got mine today.
When I took it out of the box, and the screen was loose in the device, i carefuly put it all back. Thought once and read a little bit that the tolerances were loose to allow (blah blah blah) clicks. Put the battery in, tried to type on it. Decided to send it back. Used it a little more, got a little better at typing. Now i feel okay with it. OMG, I ordered my Storm on Friday 11/21 because Sacramento was out of them and was told by my VZ salesperson that I would get the STORM by no later than today...well nothing as of 3:30 p.m. ...then got a e-mail from Verizon @ 4:42 P.M. with a fed-ex tracking #...supposed 2 be here by @ 10:30 in the morning...can't wait. When I called them last night they said if I ordered after noon on Friday it would not be shipped until 12/5. (She didn't bother to check my actual order.) I did get an email from them stating my bill was available yesterday and it included the charge for the phone. However, when I check my equipment receipts there is nothing for the new phone.

As I said earlier, I had almost the same story. How is everyone getting emails from Verizon? If your email address is on recored with Verizon, they will notify you of the tracking number? I have not gotten any email. They tell me that it will ship anytime up to December 5th and it could come sooner. I'm glad I'm having it delivered to my office where someone will always be around for a signature. TDSI ordered mine by phone on Friday at about 6pm MST.
