    how do i stop the miss call reminder from leaveing message envelope at the top screen. I dont like to keep my message icon on, I hide it since i like to keep my messages separated.

    Hit the green button to open the phone app then:
    BB Menu Button -> Options -> Call Logging -> Change this to 'None'
