Nope, that's just how the browser works. I know for me I have to magnify most everything on the web but it also depends on the page itself.

Try browser > menu > options > general properties >

Default font family > BB alpha sans + default font size/min size > @ least 8 + default view > column.

i had this problem was driving me crazy but this solved it, thanks!!

Also on most pages you can enable column view. Its on the tool bar second icon from the left. Makes browsing much easier.
