sometime today my net/email connection stopped working... been on the phone with vzw doin all the host table registering and resending service books over again but still not working

Have you pulled the battery? What OS are you running? What does the signal data look like... 1something. What's the something look like? If it's not CAPS you have network access, but no RIM data. In .83 OS, numerous battery pulls or Connection Off and then back On in Manage Connections could be needed.

1. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. BB button > register now.

If that doesn't do it:

2. Options > Advanced > Service Books. Highlight "BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service", BB Button, Delete, back, back, Advanced Options > Service Books > Undelete, back, back.

That should restore it.

I have the same problem. I have tried several battery pulls, HRT registers *22899, and repeatedly turning on and off my connections with no luck. I am running 85 as I have been for quite some time. Any other suggestions before wiping and reloading?

I have the same problem... I have Verizon and I'm in the Washington DC area... I've tried the above solutions as well as going online to the Blackberry Internet Sevice website and sent myself the service books, which doesnt seem to have worked either. Anyone know if this is a Verizon problem?
I'm on OS 4.5.0.77 and my connection says 1X and then the full bars

Just happened to me in Boston too.

All you need to do on your phone: go to options>advanced options>host routing table>click on BB button and select register now

you will get notification shortly re-registering your phone and 1XEV will be back up

of course, this is only true if it's not some major Verizon-wide signal issue

It took about 10 minutes before I got a notification back on my Storm that I was reregistered. I found those steps about an hour ago by doing a search here:
