I have about 3000 calendar events. Periodically I will lose about 90% leaving only 300. When I sync with Outlook I get them all back but why is this happening?

I do regular battery pulls so my memory doesn't fall too low.

In fact the last time I had about 10mb free and when I checked I only had about 300 entries.

How do I know what is being deleted and why?

    Thanks.

@ ~12mb device may delete past calendar events, msgs, etc. Few memory tips:

Delete apps u don't use, excess msgs/call log entries + clear all in browser cache.

Close apps via menu > close/exit. Pull up app switcher via home screen > hold down menu key 2 see which r currently running (browser, home, msgs, phone, bb msgr & certain 3rd party apps always display).

    Verify pics/videos r on media card via camera/video > menu > options.

This has been driving me nuts also. Biggest problem is also when this happens and I synch I end up with duplicate events that then need to be deleted. I also try to do battery pulls regularly and have downloaded an app that will restart device every day at 2 am.

The problem is driven by your depleting memory. You didn't mention what OS you're on, but I'm guessing .148. Upgrading to .151 will solve this problem. It mamages you memory much better.

I do all of those things regularly. Still, I don't understand why the calendar events get deleted. And more importantly, which events are being deleted?

Think these r reasons. Too many events/too little memory.

FYI 2 check how much memory is taken up by calendar events/etc: options folder > status > database sizes.

I'm losing calendar appointments AND my appointments on desktop (Groupwise) AND on my Mac laptop. In Options I have "keep 90 days" (today changed to forever). I'm losing anything prior to 14 days. I had my Storm replaced a couple weeks ago, still doing it. Memory 879 MB. Thoughts?

Sorry I tried to do this and under Options there is no "Folder" selection. Under Options > Status there is no "Folder" selection. And under Calendar > Options there is no "Folder" selection.

I''m running .122 on a Storm 9530 as this is Telus' latest official release so the route, or available options may be different for me.

Having said that, could you clarify the route to the data you've described?

    Thanks - R.
