Hi guys and gals. So I was changing some settings the other day and somehow I made a mistake.

Now when I go to make a call I get a prompt that says "Local country not recognized, please choose local country code from the list"

Please does anyone recognize this and know what/where I need to go back to change? This is super annoying, really need some help.

Have you tried

Phone button > Blackberry button > Options > Smart dialing > under the 1st set of options??

This happens to me every couple of weeks and its starting to get annoying. I save the settings and it works fine after I turn off/on my phone. Does anyone know how to keep these settings locked in so this quits happening?? Thanks in advance

i have the same problem and have to do a hard boot. I don't know what causes it but happens every 2-3 weeks... I can change the setting as suggested above but the "save" don't seem to work ... when you go back into the "options" is still showing something other than United States
