I noticed that someone on the board had a screen shot of DM listing platform 107 for version 75, instead of platform 94 (leak) for the upgrade. Is this related to the reason you're asking? Because I was curious about that too.
I have had the leaked and the official both installed. To be 100% honest i have not seen any type of difference at all. I had the update since 3 and been messing with it and playing all the apps running. The performance is exactly the same as the leaked one, but i am still happy with that! Thanks Don for the leak too!
IMO, there is no question .76 is an upgrade in every regard.
only 'Bug' I notice is when in phone mode and going to address book when turning to landscape it won't change and stays in Portrait.
Anybody else confirm this from .76?
I consistently get 48 to 54 MBS of Free Memory available even with IM apps open. On leaked .75 and .65 never got more than 38-40.
What do you mean in "phone mode"? As in the call log, keypad screen? If yes, mine doesn't do landscape either. However in the regular contacts list it works fine.
^I HIGHLY doubt it. seems to me, from reading other posts, .76 is wayyyy and much better and faster than the .75. but how do we get the .76, thats teh question.
Ive been a lurker here since I received my Storm and this is my first post. I figured I would help out Don since he was the one that brought us the leaked .75.
The leaked .75 sure was a big help in making my Storm perform considerably better than the installed .65. Earlier today I updated to the .76 version and have been playing around with it for a couple of hours now. Overall, it is running a bit better than before. Of course, the difference from the leaked .75 to the .76 wasnt as big as going from .65 to .75, but there was a difference. I can say my device is working as I would expect it to and I am very happy with it!
The only small glitch that still lingers from all of the 3 versions is the disappearing keyboard. It still likes to hide from time to time while in landscape mode when writing texts or emails.
Don, thanks for providing the .75. I now happy with the .76 and will be keeping it.
Ok. All these versions numbers are starting to cause me to go crosseyed. I installed the leaked .75 a few days ago, and am pretty happy so far. I heard that Big Red released the official version today. I keep seeing .76 mentioned. Is .76 the official version, or .75? Sorry for the stupid question. I need to ease up on reading the forums. LOL

I would prefer that phone mode only worked in portrait or at the very least, have a setting for this. This would especially help for apps like PictureID.

True, no "bug" in .76. Contacts list only rotates to landscape when "not" in phone mode. When in phone mode keypad AND contacts list are only in portrait (or at least that's how mine has been in .65 and .75).
