Ive had the 3G since launch and only used my wi-fi once so it's not a big deal for me. 3G is fast enough!
That's interesting to me. I guess it's a good thing since we won't have wi-fi haha. Thanks for the input.

Verizon's 3G network tends to be more reliable than AT&T's, as well, from what I've heard and experienced... so if AT&T's 3G is good enough for an iPhone user, then we should be even better off as Storm users.

I put a thread up here "http://forums.crackberry.com/f86/multi-touch-84169/" about this and was told and shown that the Storm does have this feature. If you use the cut and past you have to use two fingers. So it has to have a multi touch screen.

Haha, yeah. The OP is using "multitouch" differently than how it's generally understood; he's specifically referring to the pinch-to-zoom multitouch gesture.

Ok I read part of the post and went to the second post and saw the "apple patented the mulit touch"..... And that is what I was referring to when I posted my thread. Anyways sorry for the confusion on my part.

Multitouch works great! IMO! its just soo simple easy and quick! my mom (very intimidated by technology) loves her Iphone and she works the picture viewing and web browings like a champ. Its a great feature! its a shame that the storm wont or cant implement this feature. No way I can get the Iphone tho it wouldn't be smart for me to change providers (everyone I talk to are on verizon) so no Iphone for me... storm is my best replacement, and I'm still happy with that.

    iPhone multi-touch > Storm 'pseudo' multi-touch.

The reason for this is the specialist Broadcom chip that Apple uses in iPhone and Mac trackpads. RIM haven't invested in anything of remotely the similar standard, and as such, multi-touch is a very poor feature on the Storm. To date, I've only experienced use within the copy/paste function... that's it. Maybe it's use will be upped for final OS release, but RIM is really going out on a limb stating it's a full function when it's almost non-existent.

Hey I keep reading about a BB simulator? What is that? Can I get it on my PC? If so, where?

I know a lot of people don't like to use it but there is a search button that will display a text box. Type "storm simulator" and I guarantee you will find your answers.

Does anyone like to look around and research themselves anymore?

Well according to that audio file that Kevin just posted...from the mouth of the RIM folks...the Storm will support multi-touch, unless I interpreted what he said wrong.
