I upgraded my 9500's OS to 5.0.0.425 post which I haven't been able to bring up the keyboard by swiping my finger from the bottom of the screen to the middle. However when I try to swipe it down, the keyboard does disappear. Is this a common problem with the 5.0.0.425 or is it just me who is unlucky?

    Thanks..

I've found sometimes on my 5.0 OS (with the 9530) this doesn't always work either. I've just made one of the side (conveinence) keys linked to the keyboard, so if you press it, it either comes onto the screen or disappears

Thanks for the work around. I shall try that.. In the meantime I was hoping if anyone could provide a possible permanent fix.

It might just be the OS, not having that feature anymore.

The last OS to have this very useful swipe up for keyboard feature was 4.7 .148

RIM definitely made a decision to get rid of it and it's never coming back....

I am on 5.0.0.451, to hide the keyboard move the fingers down as before. To re-appear the keyboard, press the screen Swiping no longer works on 5.0.0.451

I guess I might have to stay satisfied with the convenience keys then!
