    does it say 1xev or 1XEV...the "3G" branding on an AT&T phone is just that, branding, 3G is more of a speed (how fast is the data). 1XEV would be "3G" for Verizon.

    It is only going to say 1XEV. If it's in small letters like you show then contact Verizon, one of there repeaters or more isn't working properly. It is 3G, that's just the way it works. If you go overseas you will see the 3G symbol.

    1EV is VZW 3g... 1ev is just 3g voice and 2g data
