I just got my storm and I love it... are there any downloads or updates that will make it move faster. Meaning when you flip from portrait to landscape and stuff like that? Please advise!

RIM and Verizon haven't yet released the next official OS upgrade, however you can go to http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/ for beta releases leaked so far.

You can start though by downloading DM and removing all unwanted applications, ie languages, certain apps, VZ Nav, Vis Voice if you don't plan on using. This will help a little

COACH HERRA there are many unofficial new operating systems for download here on crackberry, but they are all install at your own risk, but YES they will speed up the switch from portrait to landscape significantly

I had to give mine up after 16 days because it was just too slow. I was running .75

I liked the phone but the slowness was too much for me to bear and I really did not want to install betas.

didnt wanna install and betas? man thats half the fun is getting something new and fresh right when it comes out and seeing what pros and cons it has, you can always wipe and downgrade or go back to another OS, but thats just me.

do look up some videos on youtube with the storm that has either .90 or .99 installed on it and look at the difference of the speed it has. things are on the up and up camera is better. everything will get worked out in time forsure.

I second that. I had .75 on my Storm out of the box and upgradede to .99. It was night and day. .99 was a HUGE improvement. My Storm is nice and smooth. Much better.
