Internet Connectivity

Hi,

I dont have BIS plan but i was using interenet & emails by enabling its browser through "annworm service book". Couple of days back i requested my service provider (Mobilink) to register my phone for BIS plan and they turned it activated. A confirmation call of activation was received and they asked me to register my phone through HRT and restart. I was told that after restart the word "edge" will be displayed as "EDGE" and the service books will be received.But neither the edge displayed in caps nor the service books were received, i again called the help line and they now told me a new story that mobilink(service provider) does not support storm 9530 and they support 9500 only, so i asked them to revert the plan back to simple GPRS plan which i was using earlier.Now i have configured the same apn (connect.mobilinkworld.com) in TCP/IP and restore anworm service books, but when i start browsing it gives me error "unable to find the requested server" whereas when i connect my phone to pc and connect the internet through bb desktop manager, it connects and works fine on the same APN and setting.

Please assist to make my BB works with GPRS again as my service provider does not support BIS on 9530.

Can some one help me to resolve the issue...................I am eagerly waiting ....Please help!!!!!

If they only support the 9500, the 9530 should work if it is unlocked and you have the Mobile Network set to GSM/UMTS. You will not be able to do that if the phone is not unlocked.

If it is unlocked, then go to Options>Mobile Network and under network technology use the drop down menu to select GSM/UMTS.

Well, GSM/UMTS is already selected there.... and of course my phone is unlocked and all other functions are working...
