the situation: using an unlocked verizon storm 9530 in spain on orange network. running .808 (.419) OS with bbm 5.0.0.57. the problem: apparently, i cannot *receive* bbm messages from my friends in the US (who are on verizon and t-mobile), although they do get the messages i send to them. no problems at all with people in spain (and even scotland). all other services are working fine...internet, google talk, google sync (calendar), email. (google maps GPS location does not work, but i think this is a separate issue).
attempted solutions: factory reset, wipe, OS upgrade, battery pull, contact delete, add by pin, add by email... all the same...
