Hello again everyone. I noticed yesterday that my Storm's internal memory isn't showing up in the media's file manager, nor My Computer when plugged in. I'm still able to play my music and videos off of it, but I find it odd that over night it just disappears from My Computer. I've checked all memory settings, everything is fine there. Is anyone else having this problem or do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    what OS?

5.0 OS versions don't let you see device memory on your computer

.328 since 2 weeks ago. But 3 days ago I put some Johan Nilson on it. o_O
If you ask me, that's stupid. Unless it's to merge the 2 (device and internal).
Just checked, nope. I ask you, RIM, WHY?!?

It's a bug in 5.0. RIM released a patch to fix this. I think running updates on your phone from DM will also fix the issue. See the thread below.

Had to click a few links, but I found the hotfix. Thanks Japhule. Device is rebooting now. It's strange that I didn't find anything under Google earlier. Maybe I just didn't type what I was really looking for. :s

BTW, is there a way to give 'kudos' on this site?

Well, it didn't work. But when it's plugged in, the internal drive disappears from the file viewer as though it is in USB mode. I guess I'll just have to remove stuff via the phone, put it on the 8 gig, and transfer it from the 8 gig to the 1 gig with my phone lol. This might get interesting..

Mainly music, but a few MP4's (movies). Transferring a trance liveset from the 8 gig to the 1 gig takes ages, too. Anyone know when the next official release will be?

Did you try running the update through DM?

Yes, I updated through DM. Then I DL'd the hotfix, but it didn't go through DM, it was a standalone EXE.
Aval, there's 2 memory 'cards', one is integrated, the other the SD card, the integrated isn't showing up, so I have to transfer from SD to integrated.

I think he's saying why bother using the internal 1gig when you have 8gigs at your disposal.

When you have 30 gigs of tune you wanna listen to and a few movies/music vids to pass the time, you run out of memory quick.

So the 1 gig really isn't much help if you are trying to fit 30gigs of music lol. I also have a ton of music and probably 200GB of movies but I don't try to fit them all on my storm. I use pandora.

Maybe you should look into upgrading your SD card.
