Just installed 4.7.0.76 on my Verizon storm and what a difference, accelerometer is great, almost no lag switching screens. is like a completely different phone, some menu options has change when on a phone and in the messaging menu. overall a great update.

did you upgrade from the original .65 or from .75? I'm wondering since I upgraded to .75 and am thinking if I should go to .76
i wiped .65 and installed .75. then upgraded to .76 without wiping. what a difference, highly recommended. tried to wipe .65 n go straight to .76. but DM was being gay n wouldn't let me
also there is a trick to getting it on, delete the vendor.xml file from the apploader directory, do a backup in bdm then exit, run the apploader application, after it copies the software it will restart the phone, at this point it freezes up, you have to restart the phone yourself, then it will continue with extracting and installing the apps. after that is done, allow it to restart (which will take a few long minutes) and restore your data via the bdm.
