I've installed the Desktop Manager, installed the Media Sync, but I get "Blackberry Media Sync failed to connect to your BlackBerry device. Click retry to try again or Cancel to disconnect". I'm using Vista, 5.0 Desktop Manager and 4.7.0.148 on my storm. I have been on the web, none of the resolutions seem to work for me. Any ideas.

I have vista but I use DM 4.7 and it works for me.

I had to go to add/remove programs, click remove on desktop manager, and then click repair option and it worked after that. Don't know if this will work for you, but give it a try.

I hadn't tried it before 5.0. Perhaps I should uninstall and reinstall the lower version.

if u hav vista...

right click on the media sync > click on "run as administrator" > it should work now

I have DM 5.0 and media sync running on my Win7 laptop and they work great. Above option is what you need to make it work.
