here on the trial page it says verizon phones not support by this TRIAL so I assume they support verizon for the service. It is a $100 flat fee and they support all phones except the storm right now
The reason that the trial version doesn't support Verizon phones, is because all previous Verizon phones have had locked GPS. Once they have a format for the Storm, I'm fairly confident we will be able to get the trial version.
i posted a thread a long while back now, and garmin support said that they indeed will have a version for the storm, but likely not till early 2009. and now that the curve/pearl are open, they might support those as well.
I wanted to buy Garmin for my Storm, but before doing so, I sent off an email and this was the response:
Dear George,
Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
I will be happy to help you with this. The Blackberry Storm is currently not a supported device with our Garmin Mobile for Blackberry application. We have passed along suggestions for testing on the device to add compatibility. At this time, we do not have any further information about a build of the software being released for the Storm. I recommend checking the Garmin Mobile Buyer's Guide, which is updated any time a new compatible device is added. To check this, please visit https://my.garmin.com/gmbg/start.faces and enter the requested information.
With Best Regards,

So it looks like they might eventually come around and put it out for the Storm, which is prolly what is going to happen to alot of other software that we want to see on the Storm.
This is just too new to have everything up and running upon release day. I can only hope that other software will become available... like that urban spoon thing... that is a nice app.
Yea, me 2.. Everyone should contact Garmin to express our want for this software. I filled in the link that deck posted to request information about the storm.
